About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Associate supports customers’ shopping experience by fulfilling orders using inventory from retail locations. The role involves receiving and inspecting merchandise; picking, sorting, packing, labeling, and loading products for shipment to direct customers or retail stores; and handling merchandise to preserve its quality and appearance. Associates may work in different back-room fulfillment areas as needed and may assist customers on the sales floor during store hours. The position is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to resolve problems and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Able to operate receiving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect merchandise.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and pack it in appropriate containers, cartons, or packaging for shipment.
• Apply designated labels and visually inspect products for quality and presentation.
• Fill retail and direct-customer orders by matching inspected merchandise to order details.
• Pull merchandise from designated stock locations and place it in proper containers.
• Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow safe-work procedures.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
• Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor during store hours.
• Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
• Complete order processing through properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
