About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Associate supports the customer shopping experience by using inventory across retail locations to fulfill orders. The role involves receiving and inspecting merchandise, filling and processing orders, sorting and packing products for shipment to direct customers or retail stores, and handling merchandise to maintain its quality and presentation. Associates may spend most of their time in one back-room function but should be able to move among functions as needed. During store hours, they may also assist customers on the sales floor. The role is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and resolve problems. The associate may recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices. This is a part-time position. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

High school diploma.
0–2 years of experience.
Ability to follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Able to operate receiving equipment.
Able to constantly stand and/or walk during a shift and repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Able to occasionally use ladders, stairs, or ramps; communicate with others; operate machinery or power tools; work in confined spaces, low or high temperatures, outdoor elements, and noisy environments.
Able to constantly move and lift objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

Receive and inspect merchandise in the retail store's back room.
Sort, pick, pack, and fill retail and direct-customer orders; use appropriate packaging, apply designated labels, and check product quality and presentation.
Match merchandise to orders and pull products from designated stock locations.
Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow safe-work procedures.
Attend mandatory training and in-services, including orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions while working on the sales floor during store hours.
Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, such as short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
Follow order processing through proper closure of orders in the BOSS system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
