About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Associate helps improve the customer shopping experience by fulfilling orders using inventory from retail locations. The role involves receiving and inspecting merchandise, sorting, picking, packing, and loading products for shipment to direct customers and retail stores. Merchandise must be handled carefully to maintain its quality and presentation. Associates may work primarily in one back-room area but are expected to have the knowledge and experience to move among multiple functions as needed. During store hours, the associate may also assist customers on the sales floor.

Requirements

High school diploma.
0–2 years of experience.
Ability to follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Able to operate receiving equipment.
Able to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift and constantly repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Able to occasionally use ladders, stairs, or ramps; communicate to exchange information; operate machinery and/or power tools; work in tight or confined spaces, low or high temperatures, outdoor elements, and noisy environments.
Light work involving constant movement and lifting of objects up to 20 pounds, and occasional movement and lifting of objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

Receive and inspect merchandise; fill orders; sort and pack merchandise using suitable packaging for shipment.
Sort merchandise into order groupings and apply designated labels; visually inspect products for quality and presentation.
Fill retail and direct customer orders by matching inspected merchandise to orders and retrieving products from designated stock locations.
Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow safe-work procedures.
Attend mandatory training and in-services, including orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor during store hours.
Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
Follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
