About The Position

The Children’s Center of Hamden is seeking a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students within Whitney Hall School and behavioral programs across the Agency. In this role, you’ll provide evidence-based behavioral consultation, assessment, treatment planning, staff coaching, and data-driven intervention to support students and youth with social, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. As a BCBA, you will work collaboratively with school administration, program leadership, clinical teams, classroom staff, families, and outside providers to promote consistency, safety, skill development, and positive outcomes across educational and treatment settings.

Requirements

  • Current BCBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing behavioral assessment, intervention, and consultation services required.

Nice To Haves

  • Current Connecticut Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) credential preferred.
  • Experience in educational and/or residential treatment settings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional behavioral assessments, observations, and data reviews.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans, treatment plans, and crisis/safety plans.
  • Assess students and youth across school and Agency programs to support consistent behavioral recommendations.
  • Analyze behavioral data and modify interventions to improve outcomes.
  • Train, coach, and support staff in implementing behavioral strategies and data collection procedures.
  • Participate in the IEP/PPT process by contributing behavioral recommendations, goals, accommodations, and supports.
  • Collaborate with school administration, program leadership, clinical staff, families, and outside providers.
  • Support staff in responding to challenging behaviors using trauma-informed, evidence-based, and least-restrictive interventions.
  • Maintain required documentation and participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
