About The Position

Miller's is proud to provide training for those interested in a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant free of charge. Each student is required to complete classroom training and clinical training. Upon completion, students must pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide. This program involves classroom instruction and a clinical practicum.

Requirements

• Must pass classroom tests with 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed).
• Must pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide.
• Must complete 75 hours of supervised clinical practicum.
• Must perform all required skills successfully during practicum.
• Must have skills checklists (RCPs) signed off.
• Must complete a daily 'clinical sign-in record'.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a TB test.
• Must pass a physical examination.
• Mandatory attendance to all classroom sessions.
• Satisfactory performance and attendance are required to remain in the program.

Nice To Haves

• Students may be assigned to work with a preceptor for assistance with organization and time management during the practicum.

Responsibilities

• Complete 36-40 hours of classroom work.
• Pass all classroom tests with a score of 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed per test).
• Complete 75 hours of supervised clinical practicum in a long-term care facility.
• Perform all required skills successfully during the practicum.
• Demonstrate and get signed off on all skills checklists (RCPs) during clinicals if not completed in the classroom.
• Submit completed RCP booklets at the end of clinicals.
• Complete a daily 'clinical sign-in record' including date, actual hours worked, student signature, and signature of a licensed supervisor.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Pass a TB test.
• Pass a physical examination prior to starting the course.
• Attend all mandatory classroom sessions.
• Adhere to the facility's dress code requirements.
