About The Position

Miller's Health Systems is offering a free training program for individuals interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This program includes classroom instruction and clinical training. Upon successful completion, students must pass the state exam to become a CNA. Miller's Health Systems has been providing compassionate care to Indiana families since 1964 and is a 100% employee-owned company.

Requirements

• Must pass classroom tests with 80% or higher.
• Must pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a TB test.
• Must pass a physical examination.
• Mandatory attendance to all classroom sessions.
• Successful completion of all required skills during clinicals.
• Completed checklist (RCP) must be submitted at the completion of the clinicals.
• Daily completion and signature of 'clinical sign-in record' by a qualified licensed professional.
• Absence during the first 16 hours of practicum will result in dismissal from the program.

Nice To Haves

• Students may be assigned to work with a preceptor for assistance with organization and time management during the practicum.

Responsibilities

• Complete 36-40 hours of classroom training.
• Pass all classroom tests with a score of 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed per test).
• Complete 75 hours of supervised clinical practicum in a long-term care facility.
• Successfully perform all required skills during the practicum.
• Demonstrate and have signed off on all required skills checklists by the clinical instructor or other licensed nursing professional.
• Complete and submit the 'clinical sign-in record' daily, including date, actual hours worked, student signature, and supervisor signature.
• Pass a criminal background check, TB test, and physical examination prior to starting the course.
• Attend all mandatory classroom sessions.
• Adhere to the facility's dress code requirements.
