About The Position

Miller's is proud to provide training for those interested in a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant free of charge. Each student is required to complete classroom training and clinical training. Upon completion, students must pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide.

Requirements

  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Pass a TB test.
  • Pass a physical examination prior to starting the course.
  • Mandatory attendance to all classroom sessions.
  • Achieve a minimum score of 80% on all classroom tests (with 3 attempts allowed).

Nice To Haves

  • Students may be assigned to work with a preceptor for assistance in organization and time management during the practicum.

Responsibilities

  • Complete 36-40 hours of classroom work.
  • Pass all classroom tests with a score of 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed).
  • Complete 75 hours of supervised practicum in a long-term care facility.
  • Perform all required skills successfully during the practicum.
  • Demonstrate and have signed off all required skills checklists by the clinical instructor or other licensed nursing professional.
  • Submit completed checklist (RCP) at the completion of the clinicals.
  • Complete and submit a daily "clinical sign-in record" with date, actual hours worked, student signature, and cosigned by a licensed supervisor.
  • Attend all mandatory classroom sessions.
  • Adhere to facility dress code requirements.
