About The Position

The Blender will be trained to perform jet engine piece-part blending and repair to PROENERGY standards. The role performs blending and repair work on aeroderivative gas turbine components, restores parts to their original contours, and follows established work instructions, procedures, and safety rules under limited supervision. The position is located at 2001 Proenergy Blvd, Sedalia, MO 65301, and reports to the Repair Supervisor.

Requirements

Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
Must have U.S. work authorization; candidates requiring sponsorship for a work-authorized visa will not be considered.
Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

Experience blending aeroderivative gas turbine parts is preferred.
Experience blending auto body parts is acceptable.

Responsibilities

Use pneumatic, electric, and hand tools to blend defects and welded areas and restore parts to their original contours.
Complete forms associated with work assignments according to established procedures.
Perform work on highly engineered products, including blending, assembly and disassembly, and honeycomb removal.
Maintain and control equipment, processes, tools, fixtures, supplies, and safety equipment associated with each shop order.
Load and unload hardware and fixtures by hand or using a fork truck or other lifting devices and cranes.
Meet or exceed expectations for safety, quality, productivity, attendance and punctuality, and teamwork.
Read and interpret diagrams and specifications.
Follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and directions under limited supervision.
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Work as a cross-functional team member and demonstrate gas turbine component blending skills and knowledge.
