About The Position

Altamira Material Solutions, an Evantic company, is hiring a Blender to produce materials used in thread seal tape products. The role involves blending raw materials, operating production equipment, checking product quality, and maintaining a safe, organized work area. The position lists second shift hours of 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and third shift hours of 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Employees regularly handle materials, tools, and controls, and may reach overhead or stand, bend, stoop, sit, kneel, or squat for extended periods. The work also involves lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving materials and equipment, including frequently lifting or moving up to 35 pounds. Essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• High school diploma from an accredited institution or GED.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to following safety, quality, and operating procedures.
• Ability to work productively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• One to three months of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weigh, measure, and blend PTFE resins, pigments, and lubricants according to established procedures.
• Operate preforming equipment to create billets used in the extrusion process.
• Set up and operate extrusion equipment, including preparing tooling, loading materials, and monitoring production.
• Unload, weigh, and label finished jumbo rolls.
• Use gauges, calipers, and micrometers to verify that products meet specifications.
• Move and stage raw materials between receiving, storage, and production areas.
• Maintain accurate records of materials used and production activity.
• Inspect and clean equipment, report operating issues, and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Identify and separate materials or products that do not meet quality standards.
• Work with team members and leaders to support production needs and perform other duties as assigned.
