Biopharmaceutical Inside Business Development Specialist
About The Position
Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) is seeking an enthusiastic Inside Business Development Specialist to support sales of its comprehensive CMC laboratory services to pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and medical device companies. The role works with business development colleagues and technical teams to generate opportunities, develop client relationships, guide prospects through the sales process, and help clients access laboratory services supporting drug development and manufacturing. It offers an opportunity to begin a sales career in the biopharmaceutical industry, with performance-based bonus compensation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or marketing.
- Customer service, sales, or laboratory experience.
- Live within 20 miles of the Eurofins BPT San Diego site.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Business Development colleagues to achieve annual territory revenue targets.
- Identify and engage potential clients through email outreach, outbound calls, and follow-up communications to generate business opportunities aligned with operational capabilities and capacity.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads by assessing needs, project timelines, and budgets.
- Educate potential clients about Eurofins BPT capabilities and offer solutions tailored to their products and regulatory phases.
- Manage the full sales cycle, collaborating with technical teams on customized proposals, following opportunities through closure, and transferring new accounts and projects to Project Management.
- Provide leadership with regular updates on pipeline status and key performance metrics.
- Support resolution of service issues between clients and laboratory operations.
- Travel periodically with Regional Sales Managers to visit clients and prospects.
- Facilitate on-site technical visits for clients and prospects.
