BIM Engineer, Capacity Delivery
About The Position
Fluidstack is seeking a BIM Engineer for the Capacity Delivery team. This role is crucial in engineering gigawatts from drawing to energized in months, not years. The Capacity Delivery team owns technical execution across every build, including drawings, field questions, and engineering calls to keep multiple concurrent gigawatt sites moving. The goal is to engineer data centers that can be built in months, not years, where problems must be caught on paper to avoid costly rework. The team aims to design it once and build it a hundred times, ensuring every site's lessons learned are incorporated into the reference design for scaling to 50GW+.
Requirements
- Experience in BIM coordination on large MEP-heavy projects.
- Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks for production.
- Discipline in managing model versions and uploads.
- Ability to drive clash resolution through reports, not just counting problems.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with ACC or BIM 360.
- Fabrication-level modeling experience.
- Experience with Dynamo or scripting.
- Experience with point cloud workflows.
Responsibilities
- Run BIM production for assigned sites: model management, clash detection, and drawing extraction.
- Maintain the federated model: consultant uploads verified, versions controlled, issues tracked.
- Run weekly clash cycles: detect, assign, verify resolved, report.
- Produce field deliverables from the model: coordinated drawings, prefab packages, and as-built updates.
