Billing Specialist - Jonesboro
About The Position
Arisa Health is hiring a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) Billing Specialist to work onsite at its Jonesboro location. The role supports billing operations by verifying insurance, following up on denied claims, and coordinating with insurance companies to ensure payments are received. The candidate must have experience using insurance websites and should be able to work unsupervised. Arisa Health is Arkansas' largest and most comprehensive nonprofit behavioral health provider, formed through the affiliation of four long-standing Arkansas community mental health centers. It provides outpatient, crisis and emergency screening, substance abuse counseling, intensive children’s and adult services, medical services, and residential services in 41 Arkansas counties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance.
- Experience working with insurance websites.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel, and 10-key.
- General knowledge of internet navigation and research, email, fax transmission, and copy equipment.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of medical billing and collections office experience is preferred.
