About The Position

The Billing Specialist is responsible for day-to-day billing activities for a fast-paced, growing retail energy business, delivering complete, timely, and accurate customer invoices. The role directly affects customer experience by resolving billing issues, auditing invoice details, and working with internal groups to support customer billing satisfaction and accurate revenue recognition.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, or 1–2 years of commensurate experience in the field or a related area.
• Analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate corrections.
• Ability to multitask effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of energy industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve daily exceptions identified through reports, internal communications, customer inquiries, and other means.
• Remediate customer issues accurately and in a timely manner.
• Execute and adhere to Key Controls in accordance with risk compliance documentation.
• Identify enhancements and efficiencies to improve the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of customer billing.
• Participate in projects and perform other duties as assigned.
