About The Position

The Billing Analyst analyzes national accounts, maintains customer account information, creates ad-hoc reports and custom electronic billing formats, and works on miscellaneous special projects. The role processes electronic billing and uploads to the billing system, supports customers and internal teams with billing information and issue resolution, and uses technology to automate and streamline department processes. The position requires strong customer service, data manipulation, database, and communication skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six or more years of experience, preferably in billing, accounts receivable, and/or customer service.
• Strong data manipulation skills.
• Experience using databases in Microsoft Access.
• Experience with Oracle or another enterprise financial system.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong sense of urgency, initiative, and drive to provide quality service.
• Courteous, tactful, and professional phone and people-relations skills, internally and externally.
• Ability to work individually and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer information and process electronic billing for customer accounts.
• Work with customers to research and resolve billing issues while ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Support internal customers with ad-hoc reporting and data extracts.
• Create and maintain Microsoft Excel databases that provide invoicing information to national account customers.
• Process electronic uploads to the billing system, including customer account maintenance, rate changes, and contract changes.
• Use technology to automate and streamline department processes.
• Ensure excellent customer service for all external and internal customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
