Bilingual (Spanish) ELA Tutor
About The Position
PRACTICE is seeking motivated, dependable, bilingual English/Spanish individuals to provide in-person English Language Arts tutoring. This entry-level opportunity is suitable for college students, recent graduates, or others interested in gaining education experience while supporting scholars’ literacy, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and writing development. Tutors collaborate with classroom teachers and explain academic concepts in English and Spanish to support multilingual learners. The schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with availability at least three weekdays per week during school hours. The position pays $27–$30 per hour and offers an opportunity to earn a program completion bonus of up to 10% of total program earnings, subject to eligibility requirements. Work opportunities are part-time and depend on school needs and the tutor’s availability.
Requirements
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish, including the ability to explain academic concepts in both languages.
- Interest in working with scholars and supporting their academic development.
- Availability to work at least three weekdays per week during school hours.
- Dependability, professionalism, and commitment to an agreed-upon program schedule.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and collaborate with educators.
Nice To Haves
- Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or youth-development experience is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small-group English Language Arts tutoring.
