About The Position
Entry-level sales position supporting the do-it-yourself (DIY) business and helping achieve sales and service objectives. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems and parts, and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. The salesperson has in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes and may work part time or full time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.
Requirements
- Speak and write English; Spanish is specified in the role title.
- Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Be able to work a variety of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Have 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
- Have basic driving and navigation ability.
- Be able to locate and stock parts and use inventory systems, store equipment, POS systems, parts lookup systems, delivery board systems, and testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Have safety knowledge and skills and basic automotive parts and systems knowledge.
- Meet the stated physical demands, including frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customers in person and by phone.
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales goals.
- Provide DIY services, including battery installation and testing and wiper installation.
- Maintain store product and operational standards.
- Handle inventory processes, including truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
- Stock merchandise, including truck stock and back stock.
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
