About The Position

Kanner & Pintaluga is a law firm founded in 2003 that has recovered over $1 billion for property damage and personal injury clients nationwide. The firm has nearly 100 lawyers and more than 30 offices throughout the Central and Southeastern United States. The Litigation Paralegal works directly with attorneys to assist with ongoing cases and prepare for trial as needed. The role also conducts fact-finding projects and maintains case files. This is a full-time position with a stated schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

At least 2 years of litigation experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with clients and co-workers.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
Teamwork-oriented.

Nice To Haves

Trial experience.
Experience e-filing in both state and federal courts.

Responsibilities

Perform secretarial, clerical, and data-entry duties.
Maintain an attorney’s calendar.
Schedule depositions, pre-depositions, meetings, mediations, and hearings.
Manage documents using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
E-file legal documents in Florida’s E-Portal System.
Assist attorneys with preparation for depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences.
Draft legal court documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas.
Send correspondence to parties and non-parties by email, regular mail, or certified mail.
Communicate with clients.
Set up Court Calls or Zoom for hearings.
Conduct fact-finding projects and maintain case files.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
