About The Position

Kanner & Pintaluga is seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Paralegal to work directly with attorneys on ongoing litigation cases and help prepare cases for trial when needed. The role also involves conducting fact-finding projects and maintaining case files. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
At least 2 years of litigation experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with clients and coworkers.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
Teamwork-oriented.

Nice To Haves

Trial experience.
Experience e-filing in both state and federal courts.

Responsibilities

Perform secretarial, clerical, and data-entry duties.
Maintain the attorney’s calendar.
Schedule depositions, pre-depositions, meetings, mediations, and hearings.
Manage documents using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
E-file legal documents in Florida’s E-Portal System.
Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences.
Draft legal court documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas.
Send correspondence to parties and non-parties by email, regular mail, or certified mail.
Communicate with clients.
Set up Court Calls or Zoom for hearings.
Conduct fact-finding projects and maintain case files.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
