About The Position

Sonesta International Hotels is hiring a Beverage Server to provide engaging, attentive beverage service across restaurants, lounges, bars, pool areas, banquets, and event spaces. The role supports a welcoming, energetic guest experience and contributes to smooth Food & Beverage operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Requirements

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills, with a friendly and engaging personality.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, presentation, and guest experience standards.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event support as needed.
• Passion for hospitality, teamwork, guest engagement, and creating memorable food and beverage experiences.

Nice To Haves

• Previous beverage service, restaurant, bar, hospitality, hotel, banquet, or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of beverage service, cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Experience using POS systems and accurately handling cash transactions.
• Food Handler Certification, TIPS Certification, or alcohol service certification where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive beverage service in restaurants, bars, lounges, pool areas, banquets, and at events.
• Accurately take beverage orders and efficiently serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while meeting presentation and service standards.
• Maintain knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, specialty beverages, and menu offerings to make recommendations.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly and professionally to requests or concerns.
• Process orders, payments, and transactions accurately using POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of beverage stations, service areas, bars, and guest-facing spaces.
• Support opening and closing duties, restocking, side work, inventory support, and operational setup.
• Follow responsible alcohol service standards, food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and hotel policies.
• Coordinate with Bartenders, Servers, Culinary teams, Banquets, and Food & Beverage leadership to support daily operations.
• Assist with banquet functions, special events, pool service, and high-volume operations as needed.
• Help create a welcoming, energetic, guest-focused atmosphere aligned with Sonesta’s People People culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
