About The Position

Johnson Controls’ Building Early Career Sales Training (BEST) Program is a six-month development program for recent engineering graduates interested in technical sales. Trainees receive a dedicated mentor and support from a nationwide network of sales professionals. Classroom training, hands-on experience, and customer interactions build technical expertise, business acumen, and relationship-building skills for a sales career.

The trainee learns about HVAC equipment, services, and building solutions while supporting sales activities, proposals, and project opportunities. The role involves building relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, and building owners; presenting technical solutions to improve building performance and sustainability; and partnering with local sales and operations teams to deliver customer outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or May/June 2027.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering degree.
• Internship, co-op, engineering, sales, or customer-facing experience.
• Interest in technical sales and customer relationship management.
