About The Position

Signet Jewelers is seeking entry-level and experienced Jewelers to join its Field Design & Service Center team at the Christiana Fashion Center. Team members restore jewelry, perform repairs, and may design custom pieces according to their skillset. The team is focused on delivering a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs. Signet offers training and continuous learning, with opportunities to advance from beginner to artisan through its promote-from-within environment. Pay is described as competitive and reflective of the jeweler’s current skillset and experience.

The position is full-time, consisting of a 40-hour work week, with varying hours that may include some nights and weekends and seasonal required overtime. Candidates must pass a qualified bench test to assess their current jeweler level.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of bench jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
• Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-service orientation and a high standard for quality work.
• Basic computer skills.
• High school degree or equivalent preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge or experience in chain and clasp repair, prong re-tipping, stone setting, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, minor ring and other jewelry repairs, wax carving, fabrication, casting, custom design and creation, or CAD/CAM design work.

Responsibilities

• Restore jewelry to its original condition.
• Perform jewelry repairs, including chain and clasp repair, prong re-tipping, stone setting, stone mounting, channel and platinum rebuilds, and minor ring repairs.
• Perform wax carving, fabrication, and casting.
• Create custom jewelry designs and pieces, including CAD/CAM design work as appropriate to skillset.
• Deliver customer-first service for custom jewelry design and repairs.
