About The Position

Signet Jewelers is seeking entry-level and experienced Jewelers to join its Field Design & Service Center Team in Metairie, Louisiana. Team members restore jewelry, perform repairs, and may design custom jewelry according to their current skills. The team aims to provide a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs. Signet offers jeweler training and continuous learning in a promote-from-within environment, with opportunities to advance from beginner to artisan. Pay is based on the jeweler’s skillset and experience.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• 1–3 years of bench jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
• Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-service mindset and a high standard for quality work.
• Basic computer skills.
• Availability for varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
• Full-time work consists of a 40-hour week, with seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge or experience in chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, stone setting, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, minor ring and other jewelry repairs, wax carving, fabrication, casting, custom design and creation, or CAD/CAM design work.
• High school degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Restore jewelry to its original condition.
• Perform jewelry repairs, including work such as chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, stone setting, creating stone mountings, ring repair, and channel or platinum rebuilds, depending on skillset.
• Design and create custom jewelry, including possible wax carving, fabrication, casting, and CAD/CAM design work, depending on skillset.
• Deliver a customer-first experience for custom jewelry design and repairs.
