About The Position

Signet Jewelers is hiring entry-level and experienced jewelers for its Field Design & Service Center Teams. Depending on current skillset, the role involves restoring jewelry, performing repairs, and designing and creating custom jewelry. Team members deliver a customer-first experience and work to exceed expectations for custom jewelry design and repair. Signet offers training and continuous learning, with opportunities to develop from beginner to artisan in a promote-from-within environment. Pay is based on the jeweler’s current skillset and experience. Full-time work consists of 40 hours per week, with seasonal required overtime; hours vary and include some nights and weekends.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• 1–3 years of bench jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
• Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-service orientation and a high standard for quality work.
• Basic computer skills.
• Varying hours, including some nights and weekends; full-time schedule is 40 hours per week, with seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge or skills in chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, stone setting, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, minor ring and other jewelry repairs, wax carving, fabrication, casting, custom design and creation, or CAD/CAM design work.

Responsibilities

• Restore jewelry and perform jewelry repairs.
• Design and create custom jewelry, depending on current skillset.
• Deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds customer expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs.
• Perform applicable bench-jeweler work, such as chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, stone setting, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, minor ring repair, wax carving, fabrication, casting, and CAD/CAM design.
