About The Position

Signet Jewelers is seeking entry-level and experienced Jewelers to join its Field Design & Service Center Team. Depending on current skillset, the role involves restoring jewelry, performing repairs, and potentially designing and creating custom jewelry. Team members provide a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs. Signet offers training and continuous learning, with opportunities to advance from beginner to artisan in a promote-from-within environment. Pay is based on the jeweler’s current skillset and experience. Full-time work consists of 40 hours per week, with seasonal required overtime and varying hours that may include some nights and weekends.

Requirements

1–3 years of Bench Jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Customer-service orientation and a high standard for quality work.
Basic computer skills.
Varying availability, including some nights and weekends.
High school degree or equivalent preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Restore jewelry to its original condition and perform jewelry repairs.
Design and create custom jewelry, depending on current skillset.
Deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds customer expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs.
Perform applicable bench work such as chain and clasp repair, prong re-tipping, stone setting, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, minor ring repairs, wax carving, fabrication, casting, custom design and creation, and CAD/CAM design work.
