About The Position

Signet Jewelers is seeking entry-level and experienced Jewelers for its Field Design & Service Center Team. Depending on current skillset, team members restore jewelry, perform repairs, and may design and create custom pieces. The team focuses on providing a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs. Signet offers training and continued learning, with opportunities to advance from beginner to artisan in a promote-from-within environment. Pay is competitive and reflects the jeweler’s current skillset and experience. Full-time work consists of 40 hours per week, with seasonal required overtime, and hours may vary, including some nights and weekends.

Requirements

Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Customer-service-minded, with a high standard for quality work.
Basic computer skills.
Availability for varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
For full-time positions, ability to work a 40-hour week and seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
One to three years of Bench Jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.

Responsibilities

Restore jewelry to its original condition and perform jewelry repairs.
Design and create custom jewelry, depending on skillset.
Deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs.
Perform relevant bench-jeweler work such as chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, stone setting, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, minor ring and other jewelry repairs, wax carving, fabrication, casting, and CAD/CAM design work.
