About The Position

Signet Jewelers is hiring entry-level and experienced Jewelers for its Field Design & Service Center Teams. Team members restore jewelry, perform repairs, and may design and create custom pieces according to their skillset. The role focuses on delivering a customer-first experience and high-quality custom jewelry design and repair. Signet offers jeweler training and continuous learning, with opportunities to advance from beginner to artisan in a promote-from-within environment. Pay is based on current jeweler skillset and experience.

Requirements

• Pass a qualified bench test assessing current jeweler skill level.
• Have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Be customer-service minded and maintain a high standard for quality work.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Work varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
• Work seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• 1–3 years of Bench Jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
• Knowledge of stone setting, sizing, polishing, and jewelry repair.

Responsibilities

• Restore jewelry to its original condition.
• Perform jewelry repairs, including chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, stone setting, ring repair, and other repairs.
• Create stone mountings and perform channel and platinum rebuilds.
• Perform wax carving, fabrication, and casting.
• Design and create custom jewelry pieces.
• Perform CAD/CAM design work when appropriate to the role and skillset.
• Deliver a customer-first experience that meets or exceeds customer expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs.
• Complete administrative and clerical tasks and polish jewelry when starting as an apprentice.
