About The Position

Signet Jewelers is hiring entry-level and experienced jewelers for its Field Design & Service Center teams. Team members restore jewelry, perform repairs, and may design custom pieces according to their current skillset. The role offers jeweler training and continuous learning, with opportunities to develop from beginner to artisan through a promote-from-within environment. Pay is competitive and reflects the jeweler’s skillset and experience.

The position is based at a Design & Service Center within a Jared Jewelers or select Kay Jewelers or Zales store. Full-time work consists of 40 hours per week, with seasonal required overtime. Hours vary and include some nights and weekends.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• 1–3 years of bench jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
• Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-service orientation and a high standard for quality work.
• Basic computer skills.
• Availability for varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
• Full-time schedule is 40 hours per week, with seasonal required overtime.

Responsibilities

• Restore jewelry to its original condition.
• Perform jewelry repair work, including chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, stone setting, mounting creation, ring repair, channel and platinum rebuilds, and other repairs, depending on skillset.
• Create custom jewelry, including wax carving, fabrication, casting, and CAD/CAM design work, depending on skillset.
• Deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs.
• Complete a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
