About The Position

The Bell Person welcomes guests at the hotel entrance and provides services related to transporting and storing luggage, along with other guest services. The role supports guest satisfaction by assisting with room arrivals and changes, delivering items to guest rooms, and sharing information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions. The work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. The role may also perform house attendant functions when staffing shortages occur and other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

Previous customer experience or equivalent training is required.
High school diploma preferred.
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, and reach.
Availability for a variable work schedule that may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.

Responsibilities

Load and unload luggage carts.
Tag and store luggage.
Escort guests to hotel rooms.
Provide an overview of guest rooms, hotel services, and amenities.
Make deliveries to guest rooms.
Assist guests with room changes.
Stock the pantry when necessary.
Maintain lists and brochures about local attractions, transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, and similar resources.
Perform house attendant functions when staff shortages occur.
Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
