About The Position

Greet guests warmly at the hotel entrance and provide services related to transporting and storing luggage, along with other guest services. The role includes escorting guests to rooms, explaining room features and hotel amenities, making deliveries, assisting with room changes, and maintaining information about local attractions and transportation. The Bell Person may perform house attendant duties when staffing is short and is expected to contribute to guest satisfaction and follow safety and sustainability practices. The work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. The position requires extended periods of standing and walking, as well as pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and reaching. High school diploma is preferred; previous customer experience or equivalent training is required.

Responsibilities

Load and unload luggage carts.
Tag and store luggage.
Escort guests to hotel rooms.
Provide an overview of guest rooms, hotel services, and amenities.
Make deliveries to guest rooms.
Assist guests with room changes.
Stock the pantry when necessary.
Maintain lists and brochures for local attractions, transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, and similar resources.
Perform house attendant functions when staff shortages occur.
Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work to increase departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
