About The Position

The Bell Person is the first point of contact for guests and helps create a seamless, memorable arrival and departure experience. The role welcomes and assists guests, handles and transports luggage, provides information about hotel accommodations and local attractions, and supports guest safety and satisfaction. The position works with hotel departments to deliver courteous, professional service and maintain clean, properly equipped work areas.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift items weighing more than 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a hotel or resort environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome and assist arriving and departing guests with professionalism and courtesy.
Safely handle and transport luggage, baggage, and packages.
Securely store luggage while it is awaiting transfer.
Provide information about room types, amenities, and hotel facilities, and address guest inquiries.
Communicate hotel emergency procedures as needed.
Share information about the hotel and local attractions, including travel directions, and promote hotel facilities, food and beverage outlets, and recreational programs.
Transport guests safely to and from areas of the property.
Build positive relationships with Front Desk, Valet Parking, Concierge, Housekeeping, and other hotel departments.
Remain vigilant at the post when not assisting guests, ensure guest safety, and notify Security if necessary.
Ensure equipment and work areas are clean and in proper condition, coordinating major cleaning tasks with Housekeeping.
Maintain regular attendance in accordance with standards.
Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work varying schedules as required to reflect business needs.
