About The Position

Compassion Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to support patients overnight at its PHP location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The organization provides behavioral healthcare services to adults experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. This role helps maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while supporting patients’ recovery and personal growth. The overnight shift is 12:00 AM–8:30 AM.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise patients to support their safety and well-being and ensure adherence to facility guidelines.
• Accurately and promptly document patient behaviors, observations, and significant incidents.
• Build positive, professional relationships with patients while maintaining appropriate therapeutic boundaries.
• Support implementation of individualized treatment plans established by the clinical team.
• Use effective communication, active listening, and de-escalation techniques in challenging situations.
• Collaborate with BHTs, therapists, and other clinical staff to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Encourage a positive and respectful environment that supports patient recovery.
• Follow organizational policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Assist department leadership with daily responsibilities and operational needs.
