About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician at its Lake Ariel residential facility, a 60-bed center providing drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation. The role manages daily residential operations, supports and trains the BHT team, and helps maintain a positive, recovery-focused environment. The technician oversees client engagement and morale, ensures clients and staff follow Avenues policies and procedures, and escalates concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.

Requirements

• One year of experience in the recovery field.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• A warm, empathetic personality and the ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR certification.
• For applicants in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the BHT team in its operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale while maintaining a warm, positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and BHTs comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
