About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician at its Lake Ariel residential facility. The facility has 60 beds and provides drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. The role supports daily residential operations and helps maintain a warm, positive recovery environment. The technician also trains and supports the BHT team, oversees client engagement and morale, ensures compliance with Avenues policies, and escalates concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.

Requirements

• One year of experience in the recovery field.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with the ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the BHT team in operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale and maintain a warm, positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and BHTs comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
