About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician at its 60-bed residential facility in Lake Ariel, which provides drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. The facility offers round-the-clock supervision and care in a supportive, recovery-focused environment.

The Behavioral Health Technician manages daily residential operations, supports and trains the BHT team, monitors client engagement and morale, and helps maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures. The role calls for a warm, empathetic approach, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and the ability to set firm boundaries. Applicants in recovery must have at least one year of sustained sobriety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of experience in the recovery field.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality and ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.

Nice To Haves

• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the BHT team in its operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and BHTs comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
