About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for all shifts at its Prince Frederick location, a 93-bed residential facility offering drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. Behavioral Health Technicians support the medical and clinical teams in day-to-day operations, build rapport with clients, help maintain a safe environment, and complete administrative and shift-related duties. The facility describes its recovery environment as accepting, hopeful, and focused on dignified, compassionate care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
• Warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
• Dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, including admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phones.
• Engage with clients and build rapport to create a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to help ensure the safety of clients and staff.
• Record and promptly escalate critical communications and incidents.
• Complete administrative duties, including shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
