About The Position

Oak Street Health’s graduate Behavioral Health Specialist Fellowship is a paid, 12-month training program that prepares social work graduates to become confident and competent clinicians serving older adults. Fellows learn the collaborative care model in a value-based healthcare setting and develop skills in evidence-based interventions and psychotropic medications. The program includes clinical supervision hours from a licensed clinical social worker and didactic learning designed to build on graduate education. Fellows are expected to work at Oak Street Health for 24 months after completing the fellowship. The role is based at the Rocket City location in Huntsville, Alabama.

Requirements

Family, Adult, or Adult-Gerontology Social Worker who has graduated or will graduate from a training program.
Willingness to work at the assigned location for the program duration.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 in an MSW program.
Must hold, or be able to hold by the fellowship start date, an active, non-probationary lower-level social work license in the state of employment.
Genuine passion for behavioral health and short-term, solution-focused therapy.
Supportive attitude toward older adult patients.
Willingness to embrace teamwork and collaborate with colleagues.
Interest in an innovative model focused on empirically guided population health.

Responsibilities
