About The Position

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is hiring a part-time, day-shift Behavioral Health Safety Coach for two 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The position supports patient and workplace safety by facilitating debriefs, participating in safety initiatives, training staff in safety incident reporting, sharing safety messages, and providing direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of relevant clinical work experience.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association, required upon start.
• Crisis Prevention Institute certification within three months.

Nice To Haves

• Background in psychiatry, mental health, or behavioral health.
• Crisis prevention training.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate debriefs of safety events or safety concerns.
• Participate in safety meetings and serve on the workplace violence committee.
• Educate, train, and mentor Clinical Technicians and Mental Health Technicians on safety incident reporting.
• Disseminate and deliver safety messaging as appropriate to the organization.
• Provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
