About The Position

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Safety Coach for the day shift, working two 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The role supports safety in behavioral health care, including facilitating debriefs after safety events or concerns, contributing to safety meetings, and providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The Safety Coach also educates, trains, and mentors Clinical Technicians and Mental Health Technicians on safety incident reporting, and shares safety messaging across the organization. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of relevant clinical work experience, and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association upon starting. Crisis Prevention Institute certification is required within three months.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of relevant clinical work experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate debriefs of safety events or safety concerns.
• Participate in safety meetings and serve on the workplace violence committee.

• Disseminate and deliver safety messaging as appropriate to the organization.
• Provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
