Behavioral Health Safety Coach Part Time Nights
About The Position
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Health Safety Coach for a part-time night-shift position, working two 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The role supports patient and workplace safety by facilitating debriefs of safety events or concerns, participating in safety meetings and the workplace violence committee, and delivering safety messaging. The coach also educates, trains, and mentors Clinical Technicians and Mental Health Technicians on safety incident reporting, and provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of relevant clinical work experience.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association upon start.
- Crisis Prevention Institute certification within three months.

- Background in psychiatry, mental health, or behavioral health.
- Crisis prevention training.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the debrief of a safety event or safety concern.
- Participate in safety meetings and serve on the workplace violence committee.
- Educate, train, and mentor Clinical Technicians and Mental Health Technicians on aspects of safety incident reporting.
- Disseminate and deliver safety messaging as appropriate to the organization.
- Provide direct care to patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
