About The Position

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Safety Coach. This full-time position works day shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The role supports patient and workplace safety, contributes to safety-related discussions and education, and provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of relevant clinical work experience.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association upon starting.
• Crisis Prevention Institute certification within three months.

Nice To Haves

• Background in psychiatry, mental health, or behavioral health.
• Crisis prevention training.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate debriefs of safety events or safety concerns.
• Participate in safety meetings and serve on the workplace violence committee.
• Educate, train, and mentor Clinical Technicians and Mental Health Technicians on safety incident reporting.
• Disseminate and deliver safety messaging as appropriate to the organization.
• Provide direct care to patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
