About The Position

North Shore Pediatric Therapy is hiring a clinic-based Behavior Therapist to provide hands-on, one-to-one support to children ages 2–12. The role helps children develop communication, independence, and confidence, with support for skills that apply at home, school, and in everyday life. Care is described as assent-based and neuroaffirming, respecting each child’s individuality, boundaries, autonomy, and potential. The position is active rather than desk-based and involves playing games and practicing daily living and social skills with children, responding calmly to challenging moments, recording progress and session notes, and communicating with the clinical team. Therapists work collaboratively with behavior analysts and interdisciplinary colleagues, including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and mental health professionals. Paid RBT training and certification are provided during the first month, with an increase in pay after certification. The organization offers mentorship, coaching, feedback, and performance reviews and raises every six months. Potential development paths include RBT, clinical fellowship and BCBA roles, or Lead RBT. Starting pay is $19 per billable hour, increasing to $22.50 after RBT certification; pay may also vary with experience and education.
