Before and After school Group Leader
About The Position
AlphaBEST Education is hiring a part-time Group Leader to lead before- and after-school activities at Lawrence Elementary School in Arvada, Colorado. The program offers extended-day, summer, and enrichment experiences that encourage students to discover and learn beyond the school day. Group Leaders support students’ learning, growth, and well-being through daily activities and a safe, welcoming environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with an AM shift from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 or 8:30 a.m. and/or a PM shift from 2:00 or 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. AlphaBEST provides training and tools to help employees develop their leadership skills. The application deadline is November 22, 2026.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to work in a classroom setting involving regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- At least 460 verifiable hours of experience working with children ages 4 and older.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
- Proof of experience, including verification of hours, as required by Colorado childcare licensing regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
- Make child safety the top priority at all times.
- Keep the space clean and organized.
- Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
- Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
