Before and After school Group Leader
About The Position
AlphaBEST Education is hiring a Group Leader for its before- and after-school program at Hollister Elementary School in Windsor, Colorado. The program provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment activities that engage students beyond the school day. Group Leaders lead students through curriculum activities and help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. The role is part-time and scheduled Monday through Friday for the morning shift, afternoon shift, or both. The morning shift is 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 or 8:30 a.m.; the afternoon shift is 2:00 or 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to work in a classroom setting involving regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- At least 460 verifiable hours of experience working with children ages 4 and older.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
- Proof of experience as required by Colorado childcare licensing regulations, including verification of hours.
Responsibilities
- Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
- Make child safety the top priority at all times.
- Keep the space clean and organized.
- Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
- Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
