About The Position

AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students as they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. The Before and After School Group Leader helps create meaningful experiences that support children’s learning, growth, and development. The position is based at Churchland Academy, Churchland Primary, and Elementary Schools and pays $16.00 per hour. The listed shifts are 6:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (high school diploma or GED).
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• At least 18 years old.
• Six months of experience instructing children in a group setting.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
