About The Position

AlphaBEST Education is hiring a Group Leader for its before- and after-school programs for the 2026/2027 school year at Bixby School and Steen School. The programs offer extended-day, summer, and enrichment activities that engage students in a fun and safe environment. Group Leaders lead students through daily curriculum activities and help create a supportive, inclusive space where children can learn, grow, and thrive. The role offers hands-on experience and training for people interested in education, leadership, or related fields. Pay is $17.00 per hour, with hours from 7:00–8:30 a.m. and 2:30–6:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting involving regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Enjoy working with children in a structured, high-energy environment.
• Take child safety seriously and follow procedures closely.
• Be flexible, reliable, and ready to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
• Prioritize child safety and follow procedures.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
