About The Position

AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students as they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. The Group Leader helps shape meaningful before- and after-school experiences that support children’s learning, growth, and well-being. The role leads students through daily curriculum activities, prioritizes child safety, maintains an organized space, and fosters an inclusive, supportive environment while building relationships with children, families, teammates, and school staff.

The position is available at Hidden Hills in San Ramon, Rancho Romero Elementary School in Alamo, and Creekside Elementary School in Danville, California. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour. Multiple weekday shifts are available Monday through Friday, with no weekends. A $300 hiring bonus is offered.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 12 semester units, or equivalent quarter units, in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• At least six months of teaching experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Enjoy working with children in a structured, high-energy environment.
• Take child safety seriously and follow procedures closely.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
• Make child safety the top priority and follow procedures closely.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
• Be flexible, reliable, and ready to assist wherever needed.
