About The Position

AlphaBEST Education is hiring a Group Leader for its before- and after-school programs serving Cherry Hill Schools. The programs provide extended-day, summer, and enrichment activities that engage students in a fun and safe environment. The Group Leader leads students through daily curriculum activities and helps create a supportive, inclusive setting where children can learn and grow. The role offers hands-on experience and training for people exploring education, leadership, or related fields.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or the ability to obtain them.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting involving regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Enjoy working with children in a structured, high-energy environment.
• Take child safety seriously and follow procedures closely.
• Be flexible, reliable, and ready to help where needed.

Nice To Haves

• Interest or studies in education, child development, psychology, social work, recreation, or youth development.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities in World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
• Prioritize child safety and follow procedures closely.
• Keep the program space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
