About The Position

AlphaBEST Education is hiring Group Leaders for its before- and after-school programs for the 2026/2027 school year at Glen Ridge Elementary Schools. The programs provide extended-day enrichment in a fun, safe environment where students can discover and learn beyond the school day. Group Leaders guide students through daily activities and help create supportive, inclusive experiences while working with children, families, teammates, and school staff. The role offers hands-on training and experience for people exploring education, leadership, or related fields.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain them.
Ability to work in a classroom setting involving regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment.
Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely.
Is flexible, reliable, and ready to help wherever needed.

Nice To Haves

Students studying education, child development, psychology, social work, recreation, or youth development may find the role particularly suitable.

Responsibilities

Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
Make child safety the top priority and follow procedures.
Keep the space clean and organized.
Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
