About The Position

AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students as they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. The Group Leader leads students through daily curriculum activities and helps create meaningful before- and after-school experiences that support children's learning, growth, and well-being.

This role is based at Rancho Romero Elementary School in Alamo, California, or Creekside Elementary School in Danville, California. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with more than one shift available and no weekends. Pay is $24.00 per hour, and a $300 hiring bonus is offered. The position provides hands-on experience and training for people interested in education, leadership, or other career paths.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 12 semester units or equivalent quarter units from an accredited college or university.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• At least 6 months of teaching experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Enjoy working with children in a structured, high-energy environment.
• Take child safety seriously and follow procedures closely.
• Be flexible, reliable, and ready to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
• Make child safety the top priority and follow procedures closely.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
