About The Position

The Beer, Wine, and Spirits Lead (ABL) oversees the store’s beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic cocktail operations. The role focuses on providing an exceptional customer experience, driving sales, maintaining accurate inventory, and keeping market departments well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing. The ABL is also the primary supervisor of the adjacent Totum Liquor Store and helps ensure Totum Market and Eatery and Totum Liquor Store offer relevant, on-trend products and have staff equipped with product knowledge to sell them.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Strong understanding of store operations, merchandising, inventory management, and labor planning.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, effective decisions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Comfort working in varying temperature environments, including coolers, freezers, and kitchens.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail management or beverage category experience preferred.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and beverage trends strongly preferred.
• Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills preferred.
• Passion for craft beverages, emerging brands, and customer education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with vendor partners to maintain optimal stock levels and an on-trend product mix.
• Coordinate regular product demonstrations with vendor partners to drive sales and traffic.
• Develop and maintain attractive merchandising displays and seasonal features.
• Maintain department cleanliness, organization, signage, and product presentation.
• Train staff on product knowledge, customer service, and responsible alcohol sales practices.
• Ensure compliance with ATF and local regulatory policies.
• Collaborate with store leadership on department goals, promotions, and operational strategies.
• Analyze daily and weekly reports, identify opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as Manager-on-Duty (MOD) as needed.
• Supervise the adjacent Totum Liquor Store.
